When it comes to bedroom dimensions, it’s the eternal debate. How big is too big? What’s just right? How does girth factor into the equation?
Or to quote Stewie from Family Guy, is it like throwing a hot dog down a hallway.
There have been thousands of studies into these questions from serious people in white coats (handy) wouldn’t dream of using the word “jizz” in any context.
One factor that hasn’t been analysed though is the role of male ejaculation to female sexual pleasure.
Just to be clear here we’re talking volume (as in the variety where you wake up the neighbours not ccs) and hip-jiggling intensity.
As in shaken champagne bottle, dribbling garden hose or somewhere in between. Or at least the perception thereof.
According to researcher Andrea Burri of the European Institute For Sexual Health, ladies know what they like. Short story, you don’t have to gush like a Delhi stormwater drain in monsoon season but you do have to be animated.
Shortly after the study was published in The Journal of Sexual Medicine, Burri told PsyPost, “I am not speaking about the clinical criteria that most research usually focuses on, such as intravaginal ejaculation latency time or how long the man can control or prolong his ejaculation.
Here, we are talking about other ‘non-clinically relevant’ aspects, such as how much ejaculate he expels or how loudly he moans, etc. I noticed that many women find it very distressing when their male partner suffers from delayed ejaculation or the inability to ejaculate — mostly because it gives them the feeling of not being desired or attractive.”
Where Burri’s work was seminal - c’mon we had to - is that she delved into how women felt about the moment of male orgasm itself and what effect that had on the female go-time.
Burri’s sample consisted of 245 heterosexual women aged 20 to 75 (go Nan) for the study. The criteria was that they were sexually active and didn’t have any pain disorders related to sex.
This last factor is important as research by Erasmus University Rotterdam found that women who experience painful contractions while getting it on are more likely to be grossed out by semen.
Because orgasm intensity is as much about the mental as the physical, empirical measurements were not on the table here (or up against the wall for that matter). Instead there was a questionnaire about how they liked their partner to go off.
The results put to bed that idea that blokes have to be supermen who provide multiple orgasms before enjoying one themselves. Thank you Lord. But more importantly, over half of respondents (56.6 per cent) found their orgasms were more intense when their partner came at roughly same time.
Not only that, some 60 per cent said the intensity of their climax was directly related to how marked his was. The measures for these being “strong thrusting” and “moaning”.
We assume she means in a panting vowel-heavy manner and not a whinge about how shit the NBN is. Interestingly, these figures held true no matter what the sex act was - intercourse or not.
If you’re worried about just how much you’re knocking out, relax. Thirty per cent of women in the study said they never focused on semen volume, and 65 percent said volume did not affect their own orgasm intensity. But yes, the remaining 35 percent climaxed harder when the man was, um, generous.
Since no measurements were taken - imagine that for a job - and the average volume of a single ejaculation is around a teaspoon, the archetypal massive load is somewhat difficult to define.
The one thing that is certain is that how the man sells it had an impact on a woman’s climax. Perception became reality.
“Quite a lot of women indicated that they themselves experienced more intense orgasms when their partner ejaculated, or when they had the feeling that the partner’s ejaculation was more intense, and/or when he expelled a greater ejaculate quantity (subjectively felt),” Burri said.
So what we’re saying here is don’t hold back. Okay, maybe hold back a little until she’s ready to orgasm. Then make it known you’re own your way too. Bring your max power hips and guttural gasps into play.
Because these have been proven to enhance the intensity of her climax. She wants you to experience what she is, it makes her feel desirable.
And even if you’re unsure about your technique or dimensions, enthusiasm could be the most lethal aphrodisiac in your arsenal. In fact it goes a long long way.
