Whenever I hear that sex at home doesn't just have to take place in bed and that you could definitely get "creative", I at least mentally roll my eyes. Sex on the kitchen table? Sooo uncomfortable, especially when someone is lying on their back. Floating it on the floor while being reminded that I really need to use my Dyson vacuum again? Plus scraped knees from a carpet fire? No thanks. Gossiping in the bathtub? Not for me, because as a smaller and lighter teammate I'm guaranteed to lie or sit on top - that is, half in the water and half in the air - and I'm guaranteed to freeze myself to the bone. And how about the much-hyped f*ck on the washing machine during the spin cycle? It just makes me dizzy, I tried it.
Making love outside of the bedroom is actually supposed to be helpful if we want to breathe new life into partner sexuality. Because the GV happens all the time in the same place, perhaps at similar times, we tend to switch to autopilot: we simply do what has proven to work. This can be effective at best. But is it exciting, erotic, horny? I doubt it.
So what's left if, like me, you reject the majority of possible hot spots within your own four walls? I'm telling you: sex on the couch. Seriously. Position 1: Spooning
You watch this new Netflix true crime documentary with your partner, but realize that it isn't half as exciting as advertised. If your partner feels the same, lie behind her in the spooning position and pull her bottom towards you. Use your hands to slide over your loved one's stomach and thighs, applying light pressure to her privates. This feels good for both of you and can be the starting signal for more. Position 2: Missionary
