Melrose Arch’s Daytona was the rendezvous for Jabulani Ngcobo’s (also known as Cashflow) lavish book launch on Wednesday night.

Cashflow Naked is written by the entrepreneur, chief executive and founder of foreign trading business, Cash Flow Properties. The book looks to offer financial education to liberate disadvantaged communities, Ngcobo explained at the launch, adding that the book had been a journey.

“It’s been a challenging journey because we started this project last year. What people can expect from the book is the naked truth.

“That's why it is titled Cashflow Naked. A lot has been said about me through the media, through social media but people never got to hear my side of the story.

“I took time writing this book, telling the truth as it is, even where I’m wrong. I share moments where I was down and didn’t have money in my bank account.”

Ngcobo said people also thought he was flashy, and his life had gone smoothly.

“Little do they know I’ve had my struggles where my kids were even chased out of school. I couldn’t afford a lot of things. I had to go back home. When I came to Joburg I shared a room with my staff members.

“When I’d host meetings, I’d ask my staff members to wait in a borrowed car and hold a meeting as if everything is cool. But I knew where I was heading in life.”

Ngcobo said he wanted to help the government create more entrepreneurs as more and more of them were facing challenges.

“My personal story is a good example to give people hope and strength; it’s not about selling the book but about impacting people’s lives through my story.”

Businesswoman Ria Ledwaba said the book offered real-life lessons and inspired one to follow their dreams.

“The book is a must-read for those who want to understand the power of the mind, for those who prefer to learn from the falls and successes of others.

"It is more than a book. It encourages young and old to embrace adversity and discover that every challenge you experience is part of God’s master plan to position you for a life of victory.”

The 32-year-old entrepreneur from Durban grew up in a big family in the township of Clermont, and is the second of 13 children.

“I’m from a disadvantaged background although I don’t like dwelling much on that; almost everyone began from humble beginnings. I’m a big dreamer, I’ve always been a dreamer. The difference between myself and other people is that I go after my dreams. I dream and act on it.”

As chief executive of Cash Flow, Ngcobo’s claim to fame is his introduction of forex trading to the black market. He is is also a motivational speaker and technical trader.

“I introduced forex trading to the black market. I see now it is popular. Most people who are trading indirectly or directly, it’s because of my spirit and that's why I wrote this book. It is not just a book, not just a biography, it is a financial education, a business book. When I say financial education, I don’t mean that of a school. I mean the real information that will enable you to create wealth.

“I believe if I empower young individuals, I am growing the economy."

“I want to be on the Forbes list. I want to be a major contributor in the growth of the economy of Africa, because I believe in helping others.

"I believe in making a difference,” he added.
