UK singer and songwriter Sasha Keable is heading back to South Africa, and this time she is joining the growing line-up for Cape Town’s first-ever “WAV Festival”

The event, which is take place in the Mother City on January 2, continues to build hype with each new announcement, and Keable’s name has already sparked excitement among Cape Town R&B fans who have been wanting her back on Mzansi stages.

Keable is known for her honest writing style and smooth vocals. She has worked with artists like Disclosure, Jorja Smith and Leon Thomas.

Her solo work has built her a loyal fanbase around the world, particularly Mzansi, which has created excitement around her return and those who did not get to see her in Joburg early in the year will get the opportunity to do so in Cape Town.

The singer known for hits like “move it along” and “act right” made her South African debut with an appearance at “Once Upon a Time in Joburg” in June for a day of alternative R&B sounds at James and Ethel Gray Park.

Keable will not be the only familiar voice on stage on the day as one of South Africa’s most loved soul singers, Langa Mavuso, has also been added to the line-up.

Another exciting addition is rising star Lia Butler who will be joined by Xowiè, an artist who is been gaining attention for her R&B and alternative sounds.

“WAV Festival” is described as a celebration and the reimagination of R&B, soul, and alternative music, spotlighting both African and international voices shaping the sound of tomorrow.

The event will be curated in collaboration with the creators of Afro Nation and Africa Creative Agency (ACA), blending music, culture and fashion in the Mother City.

The festival arrives at a time when Cape Town continues to grow as a global hub for music and culture.

“WAV” aims to elevate that energy by offering a space that unites R&B lovers and artists through shared sounds and stories, and now the festival has added even more names to its second wave.

These new names join the previously announced group led by Mariah The Scientist, who will be performing in South Africa for the first time.

Kelvin Momo is also on the line-up as a special guest, bringing his soulful Amapiano touch to the mix. Shekhinah, Nanette, Manana and Kujenga are set to hold it down for the home crowd too.
