Actress and socialite Tebogo Thobejane took to social media to express her pride in her son, Botlhale Thobejane, after he participated in American streamer and YouTuber IShowSpeed’s South Africa tour.

Botlhale was among the South Africans who took Speed around Johannesburg during his tour stop in the country.  Born Darren Jason Watkins Jr, IShowSpeed is currently on the Speed Does Africa Tour, where he spent time in Cape Town and Johannesburg.

Tebogo explained that because IShowSpeed is a young man, they knew that hosting him meant the creative direction had to come from a young mind, as well.

“I am incredibly proud of my son for pulling this together and showing us that when opportunity presents itself, you rise with integrity and dignity.”

Botlhale, 18, online received immense praise for his humbleness from those who watched the stream and on clips circulating online. His proud mother thanked South Africa for the love they had shown him.

“Trust me, this boy is about to be a big thing. Where you come from or what people think about you does not define your future.

“As moms, we put our children first. We open doors, we protect purpose, and we raise leaders for this country. @botlhalemthobejane @darealclickclak thank you for giving him this opportunity 😎😎😎”

According to his Instagram, Botlhale, who also goes by the name Hakim the dream, has aspirations of being the undisputed light flyweight champion in eight divisions. Despite a claim made during one of the streams, Botlhale is not a rapper or one of Bob Marley’s children.
