Johannesburg - While some people many may identify the “Podcast and Chill with MacG” as one of the most controversial podcasts that stir up hot disputes, Sol Phenduka lauded it for its positive influence.

Popular radio host and media personality Sol Pheduka, whose real name is Solomzi Phenduka, praised their podcast for many success stories, despite calls to have it cancelled.

This follows startling revelations that came out of the podcast with guests that were hosted over the past months.

In some events, one of the hosts, MacGyver ‘MacG’ Mukwevho, was dubbed misogynistic for certain remarks that many of his listeners did not have a preference for, particularly about women.

Phenduka took to Twitter to speak about how many lives have been changed through their podcast.

“Imagine if the podcast had been successfully cancelled. Imagine! Zola’s story wouldn't have been told. Dr Malinga wouldn't be getting help. Lives wouldn't be changed. The entire podcast and chill team. Lives are changed. So many chillers out there. Lives changed and changed,” said Phenduka.

Yizo Yizo star Innocent Masuku, who recently visited the podcast, also echoed Sol’s sentiments by further sharing that his story also counted in the stories that the podcast influenced.

“Even my story too my brother @Solphenduka. Believe when I say, a lot has changed after that interview. @Podcastwithmacg gave me life my brother. I will forever says thanks a lot to @Proheed, Bra T and Mom Zodwa Zwane for making it possible. Keep on changing lives,” said Masuku.

Masuku spilt all the details about his drug addiction, revealing that he lost millions of rand.

“When I combine all the money I have lost in the industry, it is around five million. There's a house, cars, money and most importantly, opportunities.”

Masuku further shared details about the dangers of using drugs and how they demand you to smoke them frequently.

“Every minute you feel like you want to smoke. And with drugs like cocaine you can go for days without sleep. You go 3-4 days without sleep. You can also shut down for 2 days. You must have balance.”
