British race car driver Lewis Hamilton is more than just a sports person, he’s also a fashionista.

With seven Formula One World Drivers' Championship titles to his credit, Hamilton has been announced as Dior’s newest brand ambassador.

Hamilton, who has expressed fondness for South Africa, is the brand’s menswear representative.

According to a statement from Dior:“The House is pleased to welcome Seven-Time Formula 1 World Champion @LewisHamilton as the newest Dior Ambassador for the men’s collection.

“Fresh from his victory at the British Grand Prix, this momentous announcement kicks off with the release of a lifestyle capsule designed as part of a guest collaboration with Dior’s creative director of menswear, @KimJonesStudio — reaffirming a lasting legacy of embracing icons who redefine what is possible.”

In his debut collection as a guest designer, Hamilton shared his love for Africa through relaxed denim and bold weaves.

“A shared love of nature, a desire to celebrate Africa and an interest in the artisanal processes and techniques that unite craftspeople in Africa with the savoir-faire of the ateliers…’, as dynamic forces that lean into the multi-talented racing driver’s streetwear sensibility to charge the Lifestyle Capsule centred around skiing and snowboarding,” explained Kim Jones, Dior’s creative director for menswear.

Hamilton joins other celebrities like Rihanna, who was recently announced as the face of Dior J'adore perfumes, taking over from Charlize Theron, who has held the spot for 20 years.
