SOUTH African youth radio station YFM has changed its on-air line-up to usher in a new era.

The radio station has also announced the launch of its new midday show, “Lunch League”, from noon to 3pm, hosted by Fresh By Caddy and Yvette Floss.

The changes are set to start on Monday, September 2.

Floss, a familiar voice on the station, previously hosted “Nights Like This” on Tuesday and Wednesday nights from 10pm to midnight for the past two years. She also stood in for daytime presenters.

According to a statement from the station: “The new show promises an invigorating blend of entertainment, music, and interactive segments designed to make lunchtime a highlight of the day for listeners.”

In addition, listeners can anticipate an engaging and lively show that will set the tone for the rest of the afternoon.

YFM is also changing its evening programming.

Renowned media personality Shamiso Mosaka will be taking over Floss's slot on “Nights Like This” in addition to her popular Saturday show, “The Rizz”.

Haseena Cassim, YFM’s managing director, said: “Y is amped to announce a fresh chapter with the launch of our new line-up, which is set to make afternoons the most exciting part of the day.

“Y has always been at the forefront of nurturing and growing talent and we are so proud that again we are able to showcase growth and opportunities for our talent.”

Phindile Ziqubu, YFM’s content manager, added: “As we usher in a new era at the station, we have no doubt that these changes will only amplify our already kick-a** line-up.

“We remain committed to giving our audiences the best in entertaining, empowering and energetic content across the Y programming.”
