A love triangle and career challenges take centre stage in season 4 of ‘Emily in Paris’

Emily in Paris” has been a hit with viewers worldwide since it premiered on Netflix in October 2020.

It centres around Emily Cooper, played by the ever-in-vogue Lily Collins. As she arrives in the French capital, streamers follow her journey in “The City of Love”, which is full of fashion, food and friendship. Emily’s European adventure also takes her on a whirlwind journey both in her career and love life.

The romantic comedy-drama was created by Darren Star, who is also the show’s writer and executive producer. The show is produced by Darren Star Productions, together with MTV Entertainment Studios and Jax Media.

Star was also the brains behind “Beverly Hills 90210”, “Melrose Place”, “Sex and the City”, its spin-off “And Just Like That”, “Younger” as well as “Uncoupled”.

The rest of the cast includes Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu, Ashley Park, Lucas Bravo, Camille Razat and Samuel Arnold. They are joined by Bruno Gouery, William Abadie and Lucien Laviscount.

Season 4 of “Emily in Paris” will be split into two five-episode parts. Part 1 will premiere on August 15, followed by Part 2 on September 12.

According to Netflix, the synopsis of its latest offering sees Emily reeling following the dramatic events of Camille (Razat) and Gabriel’s (Bravo) misbegotten wedding.

She finds herself torn between the Frenchman and the British hunk Alfie (Laviscount).

“She has strong feelings for two men, but now Gabriel’s expecting a baby with his ex and Alfie’s worst fears about her and Gabriel have been confirmed,” Netflix said in a statement.

They added that Emily and Gabriel’s chemistry might be undeniable as they work together towards a Michelin Star, but two big secrets threaten to undo everything they’ve dreamed of.

Then at work, Sylvie (Leroy-Beaulieu) is forced to confront a thorny dilemma from her past for the sake of her marriage and the Agence Grateau team navigates personnel shake-ups. Meanwhile, Mindy (Park) and the band prepare for Eurovision, but when funds run dry, they’re forced to get thrifty.

Who will win Emily’s heart? And will she continue to succeed, despite the several obstacles thrown at her in her career?

The final season will provide some of the answers that viewers have been waiting for since season 3.
