Despite having won their last five Champions League games in a row, including a 3-2 thriller against hosts Dortmund on Wednesday evening, Barcelona midfielder Dani Olmo said his side are aiming even higher.
After the sides went to half-time goalless, the game sparked to life in the 52nd minute when Raphina scored the opener. Dortmund levelled the scores on the hour mark through a Serhou Guirassy penalty before Barcelona went ahead again with a Ferran Torres strike in the 75th minute.
Just three minutes later Dortmund came back again with another Guirassy goal to make it 2-2.
Torres though, would have the final say with the winner with five minutes remaining to end a rollercoaster 45 minutes for the ages.
Keeping pace with Liverpool
The win took the Spanish giants to 15 points after six matches, second behind Liverpool who have won every game they’ve played in the new format 36-team Champions League.
With the win, however, Barcelona alongside Liverpool have successfully progressed through the group phase as one of the top eight teams.
Barcelona’s Olmo said his team were motivated to keep churning out the results.
"We want to win every game. Of course 15 points is a good amount but we want more," said Olmo.
Meanwhile, Barcelona’s German coach Hansi Flick said: "It was a really good atmosphere to play against so I enjoyed it to be back in Germany.”
"It's very special to win here. We knew that whoever wins here would take a massive step towards qualification. It was our goal and we pushed for that.”
