Teams around the world, from Manchester United in the Premier League, to Real Madrid in La Liga, have unveiled their brand new kits ahead of the upcoming season.

Football jerseys have evolved from being worn solely by players on the field to becoming fashion statements. As a result, football fans across the globe eagerly await the unveiling of new jerseys at the start of every season by their favourite teams.

According to recent media reports the number 9 jersey of new Real Madrid signing Kylian Mbappe has attracted huge demand from the passionate fans of Los Blancos.

The reports further state that after the French forward replica jersey was made available on the club's online store, the demand was so high that the website crashed because of the number of orders being made.

Following his official unveiling by the club at a packed Santiago Bernabéu on Tuesday, Mbappe’s shirt sales are expected to break previous records.

With some of Europe’s top teams having unveiled their new kits, IOL Sport takes a closer look at the jerseys and the unique designs.

Real Madrid

The Spanish giants new kit is as stylish as ever with the new design not too different from the previous one. The kit is white with charcoal grey designs in the background.

The club’s and Adidas logos are both featured on the jersey, with the bold new design fans should love the new kit.

Manchester United Jersey

Following the unveiling of their new jersey for 24/25 season, Manchester United said the jersey took inspiration from the shirt that was worn by the Busby Babes back in the1950s.

“It takes inspiration from a shirt worn by the Busby Babes in 1952. This was made from reflective materials to aid visibility on the pitch, in the early years of evening games being played under floodlights,” the club said on its website.

The kit has the club’s new sponsor Snapdragon placed in front, and keeps its traditional red and white colours.

Juventus F.C. Jersey

Made by Adidas, the Old Lady’s home kit has also been unveiled by the two time UEFA Champions League winners.

Chelsea FC Jersey

The new Nike made jersey is a step away from the one worn last season and features some interesting designs.

Describing some the unique designs featured on the jersey, the club said: “The melting pot pattern, resembling liquid gold and silver, is a fusion of our rich legacy with the ever-hot youth culture within our city”

FC Bayern Munich

The six time UEFA Champions League champions also did not disappoint and unveiled their new away kit for the upcoming season. It features some interesting designs which should be a big hit with the club’s fan base.
