FAST Bowler Corbin Bosch has been included in the Proteas Champions Trophy squad as a replacement for the injured Anrich Nortje, while 18-year-old Kwena Maphaka has been included as a travelling reserve.

Nortje and Gerald Coetzee have been ruled out of the Champions Trophy due to injuries as the Proteas fast bowling group suffered yet another injury blow in a short space of time.

Bosch, having earned his debut against Pakistan in December, alongside Maphaka, will depart for Karachi on Sunday to join the squad for the remainder of the Tri-nation ODI series between South Africa, New Zealand and Pakistan that got underway in Lahore on Saturday.

Fresh from an impressive SA20 campaign, Bosch brings pace into the Proteas set-up and is handy with the bat as well, feats that South Africa could make use of during the tri-nation and the Champions Trophy.

South Africa gets their tri-nation series underway on Monday at 11am when they face New Zealand at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.

Former Pakistan all-rounder Yasir Arafat has joined the support staff as a consultant for both the tri-nation series and the Champions Trophy
