DURBAN – It’s all golf and gravy this weekend, with a sprinkle of oval ball action and the usual diski diet from local and the EU.

First up, is the Presidents Cup that begun last night,  kahle, kahle.

It is the poor cousin to the Ryder Cup, and it is being played under the gaze of dear Lady Liberty – though there isn’t much liberty in the land of Donald Trump!

The US team looks to be too hot, with this streak of laaities on top form, and good ol’ Phil The Thrill in the mix.

Mzansi has a nice presence in the International side, and let’s hope that they bring the gees. Look at betting on the match-ups through the weekend.

Anywhere you see Messrs Spieth, Reed, Thomas, Mickelson, Koepka and Fowler together, you may want to back them – wow, that’s half the span already!

Maybe a 4 plus point winning margin is the go.

The Euro boys are not competing in the Presidents Cup, and they will be watched over by the old Angel of the North in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, in the British Masters.

It is less dramatic, but there are still some tasty feature groups which will have their private shoot-outs.

The Bones fancy the local English boys to get up in Geordie town. Also watch out for Aphibarnrat, and the Spanish trio of Alvaro Quiros, Sergio Garcia and Jose Maria Olazabal.

Mind you, the leaner Georgie Coetzee is playing like a mean machine – maybe he should have been in Trump Town...

Tomorrow’s big treat is Chelsea and City, both smiling after Champions League wins – especially sneaky Chelski.

This should be a cracker, with goals at both ends. I’d lean towards the visitors, with Aguero on the board. Citizens are looking sharp, but other tasty odds are Match bet+ Totals.

Other matches are Bournemouth 18/10 vs Leicester 15/10, Man U vs Palace, Stoke 18/10 vs Southampton 16/10 and Huddersfield 15/2 vs the saucy Spurs 4/10.

Let’s not forget that there is some steamy Rugby Championship action on, and the Men In Black have rested half the team – as you do on the way to the trophy.

They have skills for daaaaaaaays, my seun. Get with it, you coaching cakes. Skill over size, jou ma se...

New Zealand have a 38-point spread to overcome, which sounds loco in Buenos Aires with a weakened team.

Take the hombres on the plus, and maybe dip on an upset win if you fancy passion over pageantry at 12/1.

Prior to that, we go to Bloem, to see what tripe the Boks serve up next.

Their last meeting with the Aussies ended in a soggy draw, so who knows. The spread is 8 points, so go plus 7 points on the Aussies.

In local diski, Maritzburg are even money to chow Stars of Vrystaat, who are 5/2, Chiefs 9/10 host Baroka at 26/10, and Arrows 8/10 are against Chippa 3/1.

Majita, waai home teams all round!
