Tyson Fury has pulled out of his world heavyweight title rematch with Wladimir Klitschko.

Fury, who shocked the world by ending Klitschko’s decade-long reign, is understood to have suffered another injury.

The pair were scheduled to have a rematch in July, but Fury delayed the fight after damaging his ankle.

His failure to turn up to the London media launch for the fight, which was set to take place on October 29 at the Manchester Arena, raised doubts again. The absence was blamed on his car breaking down, even though he recently bought a Mercedes for £150,000.

It is understood Fury’s team contacted Klitschko yesterday to inform them the fight was to be delayed.

Sources insisted it is a delay rather than a cancellation, though Fury may now be stripped of his titles.

Fury must also address a UK anti-doping probe after he allegedly failed a drugs test.
