Floyd “Money” Mayweather has been named the world's highest-paid sportsman for the second year running.
The majority of the boxer's $300m (£196m) earnings came from last month's welterweight title fight in Las Vegas against Manny Pacquiao, who was second on the list with £103m.
Cristiano Ronaldo, the Real Madrid forward, was in third place, his £51m earnings nearly £4m more than his Barcelona rival, Lionel Messi. Rory McIlroy, golf's world No 1, banked £31m, just ahead of Formula One world champion Lewis Hamilton - 15th with £25m. – The Independent
