A: Moving across provincial, metropolitan and district boundaries is now allowed – once-off – no matter when the lease agreement or transfer of property took place. In addition, the window period for the move until June 7 has been dropped. Domestic abuse victims have also been included in the new regulations.

The transportation of household furniture and effects is also permitted for the purpose of relocation. Those who fall into these categories, however, need to have a permit to do so. –

. It then needs to be signed by a police station commander or a person designated by him or her. You will need to have with you the relevant lease agreement indicating the date of expiry of the old lease and date of commencement of the new lease, or the transfer documents attesting to the change in place of residence or change of ownership of property.
