Michael James Organisation (MJO) will on March 19 in Shelley Point auction a vacant plot suitable for commercial or residential purposes. The West Coast property at 64 First Avenue - the subject of a power- of-attorney auction - is regarded as “unparalleled beachfront property and a rarity in real estate” by MJO.
The 1061m² plot with “perfect views over the Atlantic Ocean” is next to a large open park which can only enhance the sea and beach views.
Overlooking St Helena Bay’s scenic “Golden Mile”, the north-west facing plot is in a cul-de-sac with access to a hiking path through Shelley Point Estate, and its 24-hour security and acclaimed nine-hole golf course is described by MJO as South Africa’s “most picturesque and prestigious” course.
The auction starts at 11.15am on site and viewing for potential bidders is “at leisure”. For full details, call 0218517007 or email [email protected].
Moving to the Eastern Cape, following the liquidation of an Eastern Cape egg producer, Michael James Organisation will on Wednesday at 11am conduct an on site auction of a 270ha livestock farm at Thornhill with two portions of “Farm Retreat 450” in the Kouga municipality on the block.
The first 161ha portion consists of outbuildings previously used as chicken hatcheries by the liquidated KwaZulu Eierprodusente, but the large tract of land is also ideal for cattle farming, according to MJO.
The other plot, which is 116ha, has several improvements on it, including a main four-bedroom homestead, a second larger home with two flatlets, and 11 additional two-bedroom cottages.
The property is about 45km from Port Elizabeth.
