US President Joe Biden has approved a new national security memorandum that is intended to serve as a roadmap for President-elect Donald Trump's administration as it seeks to counter growing cooperation between main US adversaries - China, Iran, North Korea and Russia, AP reported on Wednesday, citing senior officials at the White house.
The document is classified and will not be published due to the sensitivity of some of its findings, the news agency reported.
According to the officials, the memorandum contains four broad recommendations - to improve interagency cooperation, to accelerate the sharing of information with allies about adversary plans, to calibrate the US government's use of sanctions and other economic tools for maximum effectiveness, and to enhance preparations for managing simultaneous crises involving designated adversaries.
