Belgrade, Serbia - A convoy of jeeps and police cars has left the detention unit of the Serbian war crimes court and may be carrying the last Balkan war-crimes suspect to the UN tribunal.
There was no immediate official confirmation that former Croatian Serb leader Goran Hadzic was in the convoy.
Earlier on Friday, special police have deployed along the route to the airport, apparently preparing for the handover to the court in the Netherlands.
Hadzic was arrested on Wednesday after seven years on the run. He is wanted for atrocities stemming from Croatia's 1991-95 war. - Sapa-AP
