Denpasar, Indonesia - Hopes were fading on Thursday of finding 14 people missing a day after a boat carrying musicians from the traditional gamelan orchestra sank off Indonesia's resort island of Bali, a rescue official said.

Eleven people have been found dead after the accident on Wednesday, while another 11 survived, said the head of Bali's Search and Rescue Agency, Ketut Purwa.

“The chances of finding survivors are slim, but we will continue the search for seven days,” he said. “We hope there will be a miracle.”

The Balinese musicians were travelling to nearby Nusa Penida island to perform at a cremation ceremony when their motorised boat capsized in bad weather, officials said. - Sapa-dpa
