Hong Kong - Five Hong Kong teenagers have been arrested on suspicion of setting fire to buses after a boy and girl allegedly boasted about the attacks on Facebook, a news report said on Thursday.
The suspects, aged 13 and 14, were arrested after a girl posted a picture on the popular social networking site of a burning bus set alight early on Tuesday, the Hong Kong Standard reported.
A boy then left comments on her Facebook posting claiming he had used alcohol to fuel the fire, which destroyed one double-decker bus and badly damaged two others.
The Facebook picture and messages were picked up on a popular Hong Kong internet forum where the identities and pictures of the boy and girl and a message apparently tipping off police were posted.
The five suspects were arrested in raids Wednesday evening but police would not confirm if the boy and girl who posted on Facebook were among those detained, the Standard said. - Sapa-dpa
