This winter, the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town is offering a unique culinary experience with its Neighbourfood campaign, inviting visitors to explore a variety of food and drink specials across participating restaurants.
Running until October 7, the campaign provides a wide range of dining options, from fast food to casual and fine dining, catering to all tastes and budgets.
The Neighbourfood campaign is designed to bring people together over good food, with restaurants offering special deals to entice diners during the colder months.
The initiative also coincides with Mandela Month, adding a community upliftment aspect to the experience.
Visitors are encouraged to bring their loved ones and enjoy the various dining deals while also taking part in the 'Our Service' competition, which offers the chance to win big.
Among the featured restaurants are:
Den Anker
Den Anker is celebrating its 30th anniversary with a Winter Feast special.
For R300, diners can choose two dishes from a selection that includes mussels, Wagyu burger, vol-au-vent, or fish and chips. The special is available Monday to Friday until the end of August, giving patrons a taste of Belgian-inspired cuisine at a discounted rate.
Beluga
Another popular eatery at the V&A Waterfront, Beluga offers a Winter Set Menu available Monday to Thursday from 11:00 am to 10:00 pm. Guests can opt for a two-course meal at R320 or a three-course meal at R380.
In addition to the dining experience, Beluga hosts evening events every Saturday until August 2024, featuring wine tasting and live music, providing an opportunity to sip, swirl, and dance the night away.
Si Cantina Sociale
For those who enjoy tapas and cocktails, Si Cantina Sociale offers a daily special from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Diners can buy three tapas and pay for two, with the cheapest dish free, or buy three cocktails and pay for two.
Primi
Primi is also participating in the Neighbourfood campaign, offering a deal on pizza and wine. For R220, diners can enjoy two pizzas and a bottle of wine. Additionally, Primi’s happy hour runs from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm, Monday to Friday, with a 40% discount on cocktails, making it an ideal spot for after-work gatherings or weekend relaxation.
Debonairs
Known for its fast-food options, Debonairs offers a budget-friendly deal with its Small Triple Decker Pizza plus a free Energade for R79.90. Another option is the Dream Team 3 special, where customers can choose three medium pizzas from a selection of flavours for R170.90. This deal is available until 7 October 2024.
In addition to the dining specials, the V&A Waterfront is bringing back the 'Our Service' competition by popular demand.
Diners can participate by scanning QR codes on their restaurant tables and rating their waiter’s service.
This gives them a chance to win a R10,000 V&A voucher. The competition also rewards top-scoring waiters and managers with vouchers, encouraging excellent service across the participating restaurants.
