London - Images from archive home movie footage have been released by Prince Charles to mark Mothering Sunday in Britain
The video shows playtime for the young prince in 1949, when he was about one and his mother was 23.
The film, believed to have been shot by Charles’s father, the Duke of Edinburgh, sees the chubby-cheeked future king and his mother playing with building blocks in Clarence House. He is later shown outside in a smart coat while the Queen peeps out of the window smiling and waving.
The film is entitled Prince Charles At Home and credited as “produced by HRH the Princess Elizabeth”. The footage was first shown in public in the Queen’s 2008 Christmas broadcast to mark Charles’ 60th birthday.
