Former "Big Brother Mzansi" Season 3 contestant Norman Nhlapo has secured a major television role as the new co-host of "NBA Life" Season II on SABC 2.

He joins radio personality Kyeezi to bring audiences exclusive NBA updates, celebrity interviews, and insights into how basketball influences lifestyle and street culture.

The show features a weekly roundup of key NBA moments, in-depth conversations with sports and entertainment figures, as well as explorations of basketball’s impact on fashion and streetwear.

Taking to Instagram, Nhlapo reflected on his journey, sharing how persistence and self-belief led to this milestone.

He spoke about staying true to himself despite setbacks, saying, "They say timing is everything, right? I've always known I had something to offer—something real, something authentic—but for the longest time, it felt like my message just wasn't landing.

This journey hasn't been easy, but I've stayed true to myself, and South Africa is about to experience something homegrown, something real."

Nhlapo has been steadily making his mark in the entertainment industry.

A few months ago, he reached the Top 5 in the YFM "Switch Be The Next Presenter Search" competition.

In December 2024, he was the red carpet host at the "GQ Men of the Year" event.

Now, with "NBA Life", he steps into a prime-time television role, bringing fresh energy to the programme.

"NBA Life" airs every Sunday at 1pm on SABC 2.
