South African streaming platform Showmax has announced that new seasons of fan favourite shows are on the way.

Taking to social media, Showmax announced the second seasons “Outlawz” and “Youngins” and the third season of “Adulting” are coming soon.

“Abafana the boys, are back with another chaotic season of #AdultingShowmax. 👊🏾 It’s Adulting so it still ain’t easy. Binge season 1 & 2 before singena ku season 3, gents,” read the caption on one post.

While some viewers were happy about the returns of the fan favourite shows, viewers had strong opinions regarding the return of “Adulting”.

“Adulting” follows four friends in Johannesburg and is created by production powerhouse Tshedza Pictures’ Phatu Makwarela and Gwydion Beynon.

The cast features Thembinkosi Mthembu, as Bonga, Nhlanhla Kunene as fan-favourite Eric, Thabo Rammusi as Mpho, and Luthando BU Mthembu as Vuyani.

Season two of the drama series left viewers more disappointed than happy about its return with many feeling that production was rushed, the storyline had too many parts and the series was a soft porno.

During the season, the gents' relationships were tested even more as their personal struggles, egos and inner demons saw the men push their friendship to the limits.

Some viewers are appreciative that Showmax is not making them wait long for new seasons of their shows. While others hope that the new season will not be rushed but will do the series justice.
