After a hectic week at the office there is nothing better than spending the weekend behind closed doors, curled up on the couch, with a good movie and a glass of wine.
The only reason I decided to watch this movie is because of Melissa McCarthy who needs no introduction.
In the film she portrays money hungry Michelle Darnell who is imprisoned for insider trading. She is unapologetic about going after what she wants in life and does not consider the consequences and the people she might be hurting in the process.
Darnell created a way to protect herself from the rejection of others when she was younger and unable to find a family that would love and accept her. She found herself growing up in a orphanage instead.

I love that Darnell is unapologetic about who she is but you cannot go through life hurting others because karma will catch up with you eventually.
Melissa McCarthy doesn't take herself too serious and is effortlessly funny which are two traits she brought to the character.
