The Jonas Brothers concert in Prague took an unexpected turn on Tuesday night, 15 October, when Nick Jonas was forced to run off-stage after being targeted by a laser pointer.

The incident unfolded in the middle of the performance, causing the show, which is part of their “The World Tour”, to suddenly halt.

Footage of the moment quickly spread across social media, showing Nick Jonas making a "time out" gesture with his hands before dashing off stage. Fans in the crowd were left confused as the band temporarily stopped performing.

According to a spokesperson from the O2 Arena in Prague, where the concert was held, the interruption was due to a prohibited laser pointer being aimed at the artist.

In a statement, the O2 Arena confirmed: “We can confirm that the Jonas Brothers’ performance had to be interrupted for several minutes due to the use of a prohibited laser pointer by the person.

“The organising service responded to this fact. After a few minutes, the band continued their performance.”

This isn't the first time an artist has faced such disruptions during a live performance. Similar incidents have occurred in the past, including Justin Bieber, who also had to stop a concert mid-performance due to laser pointers being aimed at him.

In another instance, Harry Styles was targeted by a laser pointer at a One Direction show, momentarily causing concern for his safety.

These situations highlight the need for strict security measures to ensure performers are protected from potential dangers during live events.

Despite the disruption, the Jonas Brothers were able to resume their Prague concert shortly after, ensuring their fans got to enjoy the rest of the night. However, it serves as a reminder of the safety concerns artists face while on stage.
