Wildfires, which erupted early on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, have unleashed devastation across Los Angeles, claiming lives and hundreds of homes.

Among the many affected are some of the world’s most famous celebrities, highlighting the fact that the nature of this natural disaster does not discriminate.

The infernos have consumed over 15,000 acres of land, forcing at least 30,000 people to evacuate and leaving a trail of destruction in their wake.

Paris Hilton, Ben Affleck, Sir Anthony Hopkins, John Goodman, Billy Crystal, and Miles Teller are the latest high-profile figures who have lost their home to the flames.

Hundreds of properties have been destroyed, including those belonging to reality TV stars Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt, acting partners Leighton Meester and Adam Brody, and actress Anna Faris.

Paris Hilton, 43, expressed her anguish on Instagram after losing her Malibu mansion.

She wrote, “Heartbroken beyond words. Sitting with my family, watching the news, and seeing our home in Malibu burn to the ground on live TV is something no one should ever have to experience. This home was where we built so many precious memories. It’s where Phoenix took his first steps and where we dreamed of building a lifetime of memories with London.”

Despite her heartbreak, Hilton confirmed her family’s safety and sent her “heart and prayers” to everyone affected by the fires.

Ben Affleck, 52, was forced to flee his newly acquired mansion in the Pacific Palisades, which he purchased just five months ago.

The actor is now sheltering with his ex-wife, Jennifer Garner and their two children.

Despite their proximity to the evacuation zone, Garner's home remains intact, though the family remains on high alert.

Actor John Goodman’s Pacific Palisades property was also destroyed.

Stark images reveal his backyard pool, filled with blackened, dirty water, as the only remaining feature of the mansion.

Sir Anthony Hopkins’ home met a similar fate, with haunting photos showing the gates still standing but pushed wide open, marking the loss of yet another iconic residence.

"Top Gun: Maverick" star Miles Teller and his wife, Keleigh, also lost their mansion which they had purchased in April 2023.

Meanwhile, Billy Crystal’s sprawling estate was reduced to ruins, with only the tennis courts left unscathed.

He is praying for the "safety of the firefighters and first responders" amid the California wildfires.

In a statement given to PEOPLE, he said: "Words cannot describe the enormity of the devastation we are witnessing and experiencing. We ache for our friends and neighbours who have also lost their homes and businesses in this tragedy."

The wildfires continue to wreak havoc, leaving communities shattered and residents mourning the loss of loved ones and their homes.
