He’s the world’s most famous playboy, a man who for half a century has surrounded himself with nubile blondes and very famous friends.
With the near mythical Playboy mansion always fully stocked with an assortment of busty girlfriends and ambitious nude models, the tales of debauchery surrounding Hugh Hefner are legendary.
But what is the now 89-year-old really like in bed. According to former girlfriend Holly Madison, wrinkly old Hef is no demon in the sack.
Holly describes meeting the Playboy magazine founder in her autobiography Down The Rabbit Hole: Curious Adventures And Cautionary Tales From A Former Playboy Bunny.
She claims, at the time, she was a naive waitress at Hooters who was invited to a party.
Hefner, she claims, offered her a Quaalude and made it clear he wanted to sleep with her.
“I knew when I accepted the invitation to go out with them that I was getting into something racy,” she writes. “Even though I knew these girls probably had sex with him, it seemed very humorous and light.”
At the party, Holly describes the sight of Hef dancing around with very young women as “the punchline to a bad joke”.
Nevertheless, she slept with him after the party – in the company of his other lady friends as well.
“Much to my surprise, my turn was over as quickly as it started,” Madison writes.
“By the time I was able to wrap my head around what was happening, Hef had already moved on to Candice, then to a few of his actual girlfriends before finishing off by himself, as he always did.
“I have never had a more disconnected experience.
“There was zero intimacy involved. No kissing, nothing. It was so brief that I can't even recall what it felt like beyond having a heavy body on top of mine.
“Needless to say, for me, sex was never the highlight of the relationship.”
Despite this, and the fact that she claims she felt “really sh*t” the following day, Holly soon accepted Hefner’s invitation for her to move into the Playboy mansion.
'That might seem counterintuitive — ''I'm not into it, but I'll come back for more'' - but I felt stuck in my life, trying to make ends meet,' Madison wrote.
“I lost the lease on my apartment. I felt like I'd already thrown myself to the wolves, so I might as well reap the rewards and not just be one more slut who walked through those doors.”
Holly claims the mansion was a mess when she got there, with dog urine stains everywhere. But she was in for a real shock when she decided to go about clearing some of the mess and came across a video titled “Girl and a Dog”.
“My stomach turned,” Madison writes.
“I was like, ‘What the hell is this?’”
